Det store klimastunt begynder: “Copenhagen’change the Weather” – “Climategate”. Hvad handler det egentligt om?

Skal man have det store overblik er det bedst at gå lidt på afstand. Allerbedst ses forestillingen fra New Zealand: “Imagine, if you will, your elected representatives treat themselves to an overseas holiday at a luxury resort. Over cocktails and between poolside massages they chat among themselves and decide that the tax take from businesses and private individuals isn’t enough to keep them in the style to which they’ve become accustomed–more taxes are needed. After all, there are government programs in the pipeline which will require massive funding too. But the peasants are getting restless and making noises about government spending, so tax increases are likely to put the other team in power -and that team has already had it’s three or four years at the trough…
Enter the U.N.
With a scam so huge, so brazen that it beggars belief. A scam that gives politicians more tax money than they ever dreamed of, gives marxist environmentalists more power and money than they could ever have hoped for and gives unions the perfect state-sanctioned weapon to manipulate workers and thieve even more money.
The media loves it because the scam revolves around claims of an apocalyptic scenario that most people lack the expertise to analyze for themselves, and disaster sells…Third-world shit-holes in the U.N. finally have their chance to stick it to the hated West, and what’s more to make billions in the process.”

Lidt tættere på, fra den anden side Nordsøen, kan man se lidt flere detailler: “On a normal day, Majken Friss Jorgensen, managing director of Copenhagen’s biggest limousine company, says her firm has twelve vehicles on the road. During the “summit to save the world”, which opens here tomorrow, she will have 200. – “We thought they were not going to have many cars, due to it being a climate convention,” she says. “But it seems that somebody last week looked at the weather report.” – Ms Jorgensen reckons that between her and her rivals the total number of limos in Copenhagen next week has already broken the 1,200 barrier. The French alone rang up on Thursday and ordered another 42. “We haven’t got enough limos in the country to fulfil the demand,” she says. “We’re having to drive them in hundreds of miles from Germany and Sweden.” – And the total number of electric cars or hybrids among that number? “Five,” says Ms Jorgensen. “The government has some alternative fuel cars but the rest will be petrol or diesel. We don’t have any hybrids in Denmark, unfortunately, due to the extreme taxes on those cars. It makes no sense at all, but it’s very Danish.”
