Robert Spencer – the author of Islam Unveiled and other important works exposing radical Islam, director of Jihad Watch, and widely respected conservative leader – is spearheading the effort to stop the desecration of the area where 2,742 innocent people were slaughtered by agents of Osama bin Laden and his rabid al Qaeda followers. Robert is helping to organize a major demonstration against the Ground Zero Mosque on September 11th where tens of thousands of New Yorkers will listen as Ambassador John Bolton, Dutch opponent of Islamism Geert Wilders, and others voice their opposition to the mosque.
Others thought the Muslim attitude was typical “They go to a country and want to take it over, making the best of democratic rights to their advantage, but when it comes to Islamic countries, matters are different, and they forget about the rights of others,” commented one young Coptic girl.
“Let Muslims experience the rage and frustration we have been going through for centuries, every time we want to build or repair a dilapidating church in our own country,” commented Coptic activist Mina Hanna, in what sounded like Schadenfreude. “It would be interesting to see what happens if the West decided to treat Muslims like Christians in Egypt.”
The Ground Zero project to erect a monument to sharia overlooking the crater where the World Trade Center once stood, and where thousands were slaughtered, is not a test of America’s commitment to religious liberty. America already has thousands of mosques and Islamic centers, including scores in the New York area — though Islam does not allow non-Muslims even to enter its crown-jewel cities of Mecca and Medina, much less to build churches or synagogues.

Vi er helt enige. Tænk om alverdens milliarder af muslimer blev tvunget til at undvære en moské på sydspidsen af Manhattan, hvor der ikke bor nogen muslimer. Grunden til at vi er så empatiske og føler med muslimerne i denne sag er den simple, at vi danskere – og især tyskerne – også må undvære en rytterstatue af Tøger i massivt guld på Dybbøl Banke. Hvilken ydmygelse….
