“Furthermore, two news sources, the BBC and CNN, already incorrectly stated that the synagogue was in “occupied east Jerusalem” and CNN originally reported the attack as having taken place in a mosque” !
Terror suspect Abu Qatada, once described as Osama bin Laden’s right-hand man in Europe, has been released on bail after winning his latest appeal to avoid extradition to Jordan. The radical cleric smiled as he was driven from Long Lartin prison in Worcestershire and returned to his family home in north west London.
The English writer and former UKIP parliamentary candidate Paul Weston weighs in on the state of the BBC, as evidenced by the treatment of Tommy Robinson by Jeremy Paxman on a recent Newsnight program.
Saudi Arabia is reputed to have invested $90 billion in the West. Ten-million quid each or even a hundred-million quid each to a handful of BBC higher-ups is peanuts to them. The BBC is the most influential media outlet in Britain, indeed the world, and is still viewed by millions of the less politically aware as a bastion of truth and decency. He who controls the BBC sets the agenda for much of the rest of the British media — and thus the dissemination (or non-dissemination) of information — so it is clearly in the interests of the Saudis to control the BBC.
How else to explain the BBC’s promotion of a religious/political ideology that should be repellent to their liberal views? Why did they appoint the controversial Muslim, Aaqil Ahmed, to head up the BBC Religious Broadcasting Department, when he had already been accused of making programmes with a pro-Islamic bias? Why does the BBC vilify the white working class as racist bigots? Why has Director-General, Mark Thompson omitted mass immigration from the public debate?
Why do National Union of Journalist guidelines seek to hide the truth in racial/religious attacks when the perpetrators are foreign, whilst committing to the destruction of “right-wing” racism? Why does the BBC require that Islam be treated more sensitively than any other religion? Why does the BBC promote Islam as a female-friendly religion of peace, but Christianity as a hot bed of imperialism, racism and murder? Why is the BBC so deeply and passionately enraged by the existence of Israel?
One could go on, but that is probably enough. Were Prime Minister David Cameron a proper Conservative, he would order his top policeman to take a long and detailed look into the bank accounts and holidaying habits of high-level BBC executives. That they have betrayed their country is unarguable, but it would be nice to know whether they had done it for money rather than through an adolescent and wholly misguided revolutionary fervour.
Daily Mail : “The BBC is courting controversy with its plans to broadcast a documentary series about Muslim prophet Muhammad. Three-part series The Life of Muhammad has already been blasted by officials in Iran, who claim the country will take ‘serious action’ if it is screened. The Iranian minister of cultural and Islamic guidance, Mohammad Hosseini, who has yet to watch any of the series, has branded the film an attempt by the ‘enemy’ to ‘ruin Muslims’ sanctity’. ‘The BBC’s decision to make a documentary on the life of [the] prophet Muhammad seems dubious and if our suspicions are proved to be correct, we will certainly take serious action,’ he told Iran’s Fars news agency.
The documentary, to be broadcast in mid-July, just ahead of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan in August, will see journalist and TV presenter Rageh Omaar travel to the place of Muhammad’s birth, Mecca, to re-trace the footsteps of the prophet. However, the series will feature no visual images of Muhammad in a bid not to offend Muslims, whose religion forbids depiction of the prophet. Instead, a spoken description of Muhammad will be given, making this the first biographical documentary not to feature visual images of the subject.”
Chortle: “Muslim groups are urging a widespread protest at the BBC over a Have I Got News For You joke they say was Islamophobic. On Friday’s edition, host Sharon Horgan said: ‘The Independent described the Dostoevsky metro station… as the Mecca for suicides. Not to be confused with the Mecca of suicide bombers – which is Mecca.’
The joke received a slightly uncomfortable reaction from the studio audience, and is now set to lead to a torrent of complaints to the BBC. Campaign group The Muslim Public Affairs Committee said: ‘By making such a comment she is giving the message that the holiest site in Islam is the centre of all terrorism and that Islam is inherently linked with violence. ‘This offhand comment does nothing except reinforce the message that Islam has something within its fundamental beliefs that makes it a threat to civil society Allowing this comment to go unchecked justifies the statement and condones such demonisation, as the comment implicitly implies that all Muslims are terrorists and all terrorists are Muslims.”
If you look at these decisions in toto — from “climate change” to “public service broadcasting” — we are about two judges away from having the entire program of leftist conventional wisdom ruled a state church.
The Telegraph: “Are young men of Pakistani origin really fizzing with testosterone, and do they target young white women for sex because they see them as easy meat, as Jack Straw claimed last week? The Today programme went to Bradford this morning to find out, and you got the distinct impression that no one was more shocked than the BBC to find young Asian men, by and large, confirming what Mr Straw said.
A minority of interviewees sounded a note of caution, said everyone was equal and there was no such thing as an “easy target”. A more typical response, however, was: “It’s the way the white women dress, innit. Miniskirts. Encourages them, innit, to go jack ‘em and that, d’you get me?” (That’s an exact quote, by the way.) Or: “A lot of Asian women wouldn’t actually have their body showing, whereas white women you would find them like that.” Or: “White women drink, so when they [are] under the influence of alcohol the Pakistani men probably – the ones from Pakistan that have recently come – probably think they can take advantage, innit.”
Zubeida Malik introduced her report by saying: “Given the huge controversy that Jack Straw’s comments raised, you might be surprised by what you hear.” But were listeners really shocked by what they heard? Over at the BBC they might have been surprised, but no one else the programme interviewed sounded as though the comments were news to them.”
Yes, BBC was biased: Director General Mark Thompson admits a ‘massive’ lean to Left
Daily Mail: “BBC Director General Mark Thompson has admitted the corporation was guilty of a ‘massive’ Left-wing bias in the past. The TV chief also admitted there had been a ‘struggle’ to achieve impartiality and that staff were ‘ mystified’ by the early years of Margaret Thatcher’s government. But he claimed there was now ‘much less overt tribalism’ among the current crop of young journalists, and said in recent times the corporation was a ‘broader church’. He claimed there was now an ‘honourable tradition of journalists from the right’ working for the corporation.
His comments, made in the New Statesman magazine, are one of the clearest admissions of political bias from such a senior member of its staff. The BBC has long been accused of being institutionally biased towards the Left, and an internal report from 2007 said it had to make greater efforts to avoid liberal bias. That report criticised the BBC for coming late to several important stories including euroscepticism and immigration, which it described as ‘off limits in terms of a liberal-minded comfort zone’.
The BBC has launched a competition to find multicultural sitcoms because the BBC is perceived to be ‘too white and middle class’.
In a new political correctness row, comedy executives have called on writers who feel their lives are under-represented to submit the first ten pages of a sitcom to the BBC.
The film was shot by an iron-nerved team from BNPtv in Blackburn on Sunday 11th January 2009. As youll see the first short section is silent, but still gives a good impression of the scale of the protest.
Despite or rather, because of the size of the demo, and its exclusively Muslim nature, none of the broadcast media or national newspapers carried a single word on the story. The BBC in particular gave extensive air-time to rival pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli protests in London over the same weekend, and mentioned a left-wing rally in Manchester, but all covered up what was probably the largest Islamic protest march in the UK since the Bradford book-burnings against Salman Rushdie and free speech twenty years ago.
The main camera crew, which included Burnley BNP Councillor Derek Dawson and former Blackburn BNP Councillor Robin Evans, were threatened with arrest and escorted out of the town by the police. A second back-up crew with an amateur video camera, however, were not picked up by the police and managed to attend the protest rally itself. This was held in Blackburns Corporation Park and included a short but inflammatory speech by Tony Blairs sister-in-law Lauren Booth, which was recorded under very difficult circumstances by our brave volunteers.
EDITOR OF PALI-ARAB NEWS SERVICE ADMITS IN BBC INTERVIEW HE DISSEMINATED FALSIFIED REPORTS OF A MASSACRE AND RAPES AT THE ARAB VILLAGE OF DEIR YASSIN IN ORDER TO ENCOURAGE ARAB VILLAGERS TO FLEE THEIR HOMES.
