Dengi town is predominantly Muslim, with Christians making up less than 10 percent of its population.

“In this town, we live under Muslim rulers,” Danyok said, adding that only one of the 20 town council members is Christian.

According to Christian leaders in the town under the auspices of the Christian Association of Nigeria, the assault on Christians was premeditated and well-planned.

Clearly, it is a “war crime” for Israel to use white phosphorus in such a way that its use is legal – as a smoke screen to protect maneuvering troops – but it’s okay for Gazan terrorists to use it in such a way that it cannot possibly be legal; there are no maneuvering Gazan troops in the vicinity who could use these particular weapons as a smoke screen.

Amnesty’s last mention of white phosphorus was in August. They have been completely silent on this matter.

The IRC again facilitated the entry of Qods force officers to Lebanon during the Israel-Hezbollah war in summer 2006. Although [NAME REMOVED] did not travel to Lebanon during the conflict, he reiterated that the only true IRC officers dispatched to Lebanon were [DETAILS REMOVED] all others were IRGC and MOIS officials. [NAME REMOVED] further said that the IRC shipments of medical supplies served also to facilitate weapons shipments. He said that IRC [DETAILS REMOVED] had seen missiles in the planes destined for Lebanon when delivering medical supplies to the plane. The plane was allegedly “half full” prior to the arrival of any medical supplies.

Teachers are being assassinated and children terrorised into staying away from school by Muslim terrorists in the Jihad-infested South of Thailand – but the loony leftists at Human Rights Watch blast the Thai government for trying to protect them. Another own-goal from the increasingly tarnished HRW:

Schools are set ablaze and teachers are murdered by Muslim insurgents in southern Thailand partly because soldiers use the schools as military bases that turn them into targets, according to a human rights report released Tuesday.

Some teachers protect themselves by carrying guns and in some cases are provided bullets free of charge by local authorities in Thailand’s restive south, Human Rights Watch said in a 111-page report on how the insurgency by Muslims who want their own state schools.

The New York-based group called on the Thai government to prohibit the military from occupying school grounds, saying that sending troops into schools creates an “immense disruption” to children’s education and can put students in danger.

Colosseum slukker lyset til støtte for Gilad Schalit

Some 4,000 Romans including Jews, members of interfaith organizations, Christian, Muslim and other friends of Israel, called for Gilad Schalit’s release in a ceremony at Rome’s Colosseum on Thursday.

The lights on the ancient monument were turned off at 11 p.m. – coinciding with midnight commemorations in Tel Aviv.

Riccardo Pacifici, president of the Rome Jewish Community, recalled that Human Rights Watch has defined Gilad’s continued forced isolation a case of torture now lasting four years. He noted the “significant absence” of Amnesty International representatives at the commemoration, among others.

Human Rights Watch report says 2,732 Palestinians stripped of their Jordanian nationality in past few years to counter any Israeli plans to transfer West Bank Palestinians to the kingdom.

‘Jordan is playing politics with the basic rights of thousands of its citizens,’ group says.

Jerusalem Post skriver:

Nearly half the kingdom’s 6 million people are of Palestinian origin and Jordan fears that if Palestinians become the majority, it will disrupt the delicate demographic balance.

The New-York based Human Rights Watch today accused Jordanian police authorities of turning water off from cells of political prisoners to force them break a hunger strike over arduous incarceration conditions in a run down prison near Amman.

Authorities also practice other types of maltreatment to prisoners, according to the report, including the use of castor oil to flush out drugs and weapons arriving with new inmates. Prisoners are forced to swallow up to eight castor oil pills and sit naked on buckets to await the rapid onset of violent diarrhea, leaving some of them extremely weak for days,” said the group in a previous report.

Joe Stork – Human Rights Watch’s officielle talsmand

Joe Stork, a senior official in Human Rights Watch, which accuses the IDF of killing Palestinians who waved white flags, is a fanatical supporter of the elimination of Israel.

He was a friend of Saddam, ruled out negotiations and supported the Munich Massacre, which “provided an important boost in morale among Palestinians.”

Last Thursday, many world media outlets covered the press conference in which a senior Human Rights Watch official, Joe Stork, presented the report accusing Israel of killing twelve Palestinians in the Gaza Strip who waved white flags during Operation Cast Lead. Stork, the person identified with the report, has a unique history of Israel-hating: He supported the murder of Israeli athletes in Munich, was an avid supporter of Saddam Hussein and more.

The 31-page report, “Rockets from Gaza: Harm to Civilians from Palestinian Armed Groups’ Rocket Attacks,” documents attacks by Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups since November 2008 that killed three Israeli civilians and seriously injured dozens of others, damaged property and forced residents to leave their homes.

The rockets unlawfully struck populated areas up to 40 kilometers inside Israel, placing roughly 800,000 Israeli civilians at risk. Rockets that fell short of their intended targets in Israel killed two girls and wounded others in Gaza during this period. Palestinian armed groups that launched rockets from densely populated areas also unlawfully put Gaza civilians at risk of Israeli counterstrikes.

“Hamas rocket attacks targeting Israeli civilians are unlawful and unjustifiable, and amount to war crimes,” said Iain Levine, program director at Human Rights Watch. “As the governing authority in Gaza, Hamas should publicly renounce rocket attacks on Israeli civilian centers and punish those responsible, including members of its own armed wing.”

NGO Monitor noticed an outrageous event that happened last month:

Human Rights Watch went to Saudi Arabia, one of the worst offenders of human rights on the planet, to raise funds to continue their anti-Israel crusade.

Over the past week, hundreds of doctors in Gaza have gone on strike to protest Hamas’ taking over their hospitals.

Hamas has responded with an unprecedented crackdown, arresting hundreds of doctors, threatening many others and attacking clinics.

The attacks have been expanded into shootings and threats also against ambulance drivers, nurses, lab techs, clerks and other health-care workers.

Although this has been happening for a week now, I can find no mention of these events in the Human Rights Watch or Amnesty sites. Nothing at the Doctors Without Borders website. Not even the PCHR, which normally does a decent job on stories like this. Certainly no words of condemnation from the “Free Gaza” volunteers who stayed behind.
