Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Youssef Mohammed has revealed that the Kurdistan Parliament has asked the International Criminal Court in the Hague in Netherlands to regard the massacre of Kurdish Yazidis and others in the Mosul area as genocide.

The complaint has been accepted by the court and in the next few days, Kurdish Parliamentary delegates will hand over evidence regarding the genocide to the court.

“What has been happened to Yazidi women in Sinjar [kidnap, rape and slavery] is much worse than what has happened to all the men and the town itself,” said Mohammed.

The Kurdistan Parliament has made a complaint to the Hague court about Yazidi, Christian and Turkmen genocides that carried out by IS. The court has accepted the case and will discuss it soon.

UK Kurdish Genocide Task Force seeks international action to punish acts of genocide committed by terrorists

The UK Kurdish Genocide Task Force, an independent group of experts and British Parliamentarians, calls on the international community to end, prosecute and punish acts of genocide and other crimes against humanity committed by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS)

The Kurdish Genocide Task Force was established in 2011 to gain recognition of acts of genocide that took place against the Iraqi Kurds in the past. It is now clear that genocide has come again to Iraq, this time claiming Yezidi Kurds, Assyrian Christians, Shabaks and Kakayis.

We urge all States to take swift and effective action.

Genocide starts with the first victim. There have already been too many.

Tyrkiet praler af at have afpresset den svenske regering

A minor scandal has unfolded in Sweden as Assyrian and Armenian groups revealed the Swedish government censored the minister of integration after he mentioned the Seyfo genocide in a speech.

Seyfo (sword) is the Assyrian name of the Turkish genocide of Assyrians in World War One. The genocide claimed 750,000 Assyrian lives (75%) as well as 500,000 Greeks and 1.5 million Armenians.

Armenian and Assyrian groups soon discovered an article on the homepage of the Turkish federation of Sweden in which the Turks proudly proclaimed the passage about Seyfo was removed after the Turkish embassy in Stockholm pressured the Swedish government.

Stalins kannibaler

There is no algorithm for evil, but the case of Stalin’s has for a long time weighed more heavily the ideological murders and gulag deaths that began in 1937 and played down the millions who—Snyder argues—were just as deliberately, cold-bloodedly murdered by enforced famine in 1932 and 1933.

Here is where the shock of Snyder’s relatively few pages on cannibalism brought the question of degrees of evil alive once again to me. According to Snyder’s carefully documented account, it was not uncommon during the Stalin-imposed famine in Soviet Ukraine for parents to cook and eat their children.

The bare statement alone is horrifying even to write.

The back story: While Lenin was content, for a time anyway, to allow the new Soviet Union to develop a “mixed economy” with state-run industry and peasant-owned private farms, Stalin decided to “collectivize” the grain-producing breadbasket that was the Ukraine. His agents seized all land from the peasants, expelling landowners and placing loyal ideologues with little agricultural experience in charge of the newly collectivized farms, which began to fail miserably. And to fulfill Five-Year Plan goals, he seized all the grain and food that was grown in 1932 and 1933 to feed the rest of Russia and raise foreign capital, and in doing so left the entire Ukrainian people with nothing to eat—except, sometimes, themselves.

I’ve read things as horrifying, but never more horrifying than the four pages in Snyder’s book devoted to cannibalism. In a way I’d like to warn you not to read it; it is, unfortunately, unforgettable. On the other hand, not to read it is a refusal to be fully aware of what kind of world we live in, what human nature is capable of. The Holocaust taught us much on these questions, but alas, there is more to learn. Maybe it’s better to live in denial. Better to think of human history Pollyanna-like, as an evolution upward, although sometimes I feel Darwin spoke more truly than he knew when he titled his book The Descent of Man. Certainly one’s understanding of both Stalinism and human nature will be woefully incomplete until one does read Snyder’s pages.

Here is an excerpt:

In the face of starvation, some families divided, parents turning against children, and children against one another. As the state police, the OGPU, found itself obliged to record, in Soviet Ukraine “Families kill their weakest members, usually children, and use the meat for eating.” Countless parents killed and ate their children and then died of starvation later anyway. One mother cooked her son for herself and her daughter. One 6-year-old girl, saved by other relatives last saw her father when he was sharpening a knife to slaughter her. Other combinations were, of course, possible. One family killed their daughter-in-law, and fed her head to the pigs, and roasted the rest of her body.”

According to Snyder “at least 2,505 people were sentenced for cannibalism in the years 1932 and 1933 in Ukraine, although the actual number of cases was most certainly greater.”

Mere om Simon Deng her.

Walk Against Jihad

When I was a slave, I was unable to say the word “no.” All I could say was “yes,” “yes,” “yes.” I was the first one to wake up in the morning — to fetch the first load of the day’s water from the river, and the last to go to sleep at night. I had no bed, like a normal human being, I was forced to sleep on the ground, among the animals. I was beaten time and time again, usually for no reason at all — even by the children of the family, younger than myself. I could not go to sleep until every last bit of heavy work had been performed. When you read, usually in history books or even the Bible, about the brutality of slavery: for me, as a child, it was reality. For me the pain and suffering was real.

This Friday, to mark the 95th anniversary of the genocide, Germany’s ARD television network will air the elaborately researched documentary “Aghet” (Armenian for “Catastrophe”), which brings the words of diplomats, engineers and missionaries to life.

An ensemble of 23 German actors narrates the original texts — not in the style of a docu-drama, which re-enacts the events using semi-fictional dialogue and historic costumers, but in simple interviews that derive their effectiveness from the selection of texts and the presentation rather than a dramatization of history.

Erdogan beskylder armenerne for at udrydde tyrkerne – “Vores civilisation er kærlighedens, tolerancens og broderskabets”

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday claimed that Armenians in the Ottoman Empire never faced genocide and, on the contrary, themselves plotted to exterminate Turks.

“There is no genocide in our civilization. Our civilization is the civilization of love, tolerance and brotherhood,” he added, according to “Today’s Zaman” daily.

The Serb cause in the Bosnia war was a “just and holy” war against the “Islamist goals” of Muslims, Radovan Karadzic has claimed during his trial against United Nations genocide charges.

Karadzic quoted George Kenney, a US State Department official, telling Alija Izetbegovic, a Bosnian Muslim leader to block negotiations and to “hold out for a unitary Bosnian state”.

He accused a “conspiracy core” of fundamentalists of having tried to create an Islamic state with Western support.

”They had an Islamist goal. They wanted 100 per cent power as it was in the days of the Ottoman Empire. There were fundamental goals changing the destiny of a whole region,” he said. “They want Islamic fundamentalism and wanted it from 1991 to 1995.”

By supporting Bosnian secession from Yugoslavia, Karadzic claimed, Western powers led by Germany, Serbia’s old World War Two enemy, triggered the civil war. “The German victory was complete when its former adversaries from World War Two were doing their work from them,” he said.

Karadzic also quoted Ruud Lubbers, the Dutch Prime Minister in 1991, warning that German pressure for unilateral independence of Croatia and Slovenia would lead to civil war.

”The German government was pressing for recognition against the resistance of other European countries. The result was a catastrophe,” Mr Lubbers said, according to Karadzic.

The defendant, 64, accused Bosnian Muslims of “war tricks” by bussing in corpses and artificial body parts to stage atrocities in Sarajevo during the 44 month siege of the city where 12,000 civilians were killed.

Tyrkiets folkemord på assyrerne på film

The untold Assyrian Genocide of 1914-1918 was a systematic ethnic cleansing of the Assyrian people perpetrated by the Ottoman Turks, Kurds and Persians.

Two-thirds of the Assyrian nation totaling 750,000 souls perished in the Ottoman Empire and Northwestern Iran as a result of genocide, starvation, dehydration, disease and exposure to elements while thousands fell victim to kidnappings, forced assimilation, deportation and migration.

assyrianexodusThe Assyrian Genocide is a missing chapter of world history. For the Assyrian people, it is very difficult to fathom how the genocide of a nation, can so easily be dismissed and intentionally ignored by the international community. To date, the Assyrian Genocide has not been publicly acknowledged.

Rosie Malek-Yonan’s AN ASSYRIAN EXODUS is a short video project that has brought Rosie Malek-Yonan (author of The Crimson Field), David Yonan, Ninos Aho and Emil Brikha, four accomplished Assyrian artists from around the world in a common belief, that while the world may not acknowledge the Assyrian Genocide, however, through the arts, the history of the Assyrian nation can be preserved.

This project is dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Assyrian Genocide and those forced to walk the “Death Marches.” Survivors who safely made the unthinkable journey to distant shores around the globe, were able to secure the identity of future generations of Assyrians now living in diaspora.

The text of this video project is derived from the overture of the original full-length piece by the same title, written and performed by Rosie Malek-Yonan, which was previewed in Hartford, CT in August 2008. The stories of “An Assyrian Exodus” are based on Malek-Yonan’s personal family journals and war diaries written during the final exodus of the Assyrians fleeing from Urmia, Iran in 1918.

Presented in English, Eastern Assyrian and Western Assyrian languages, “An Assyrian Exodus” video project is a Rosie Malek-Yonan and Emil Brikha Production recorded in Los Angeles, Chicago, Sweden and Malta in 2008.

HamaSS brugte

FN-Skole havde

Internationalt Røde Kors udtaler, at

Ekspert i international lovgivning udtaler, at

“The fighting tactics and ideology of Hamas are a case study par excellence” of a systematic violation of international humanitarian law.” Samt at “There is “almost no comparable example” anywhere in today’s world of a group that so systematically violates international agreements related to armed conflict.”

Han udtaler at HamaSS begår mindst 6 krigsforbrydelser:

“First, the deliberate targeting of civilians is in and of itself a war crime,” he noted, referring to the Hamas rockets fired at southern towns for eight years.

“A second war crime is when Hamas attacks [from within] civilian areas and civilian structures, whether it be an apartment building, a mosque or a hospital, in order to be immune from a response from Israel,” he went on. “Civilians are protected persons, and civilian areas are protected areas. Any use of a civilian infrastructure to launch bombs is itself a war crime.”

That Hamas bears legal responsibility for the harm to civilians in areas from which it fires is enshrined throughout international law, he said: “In the general principles of customs binding on nations, in the specific international law of armed conflict [also called] international humanitarian law, in the Fourth Geneva Convention, in decisions of the International Court of Justice and the international criminal tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda – it’s all set out there.”

Third, he explained, “the misuse and abuse of humanitarian symbols for purposes of launching attacks is called the perfidy principle. For example, using an ambulance to transport fighters or weapons or disguising oneself as a doctor in a hospital, or using a UN logo or flag, are war crimes.”

The fourth violation, “of which little has been made, is the prohibition in the Fourth Geneva Convention and international jurisprudence against the direct and public incitement to genocide. The Hamas covenant itself is a standing incitement to genocide. [Similarly,] just before this fighting started, I saw Hamas leaders on television referring to Israel and Jews as the sons of apes and pigs.”

The fifth crime relates to the scope of the attack on civilians, which upgrades the violation to a crime against humanity. According to Cotler, “when you deliberately hit civilians not infrequently but in a systematic, widespread attack, that’s defined in the treaty of the International Criminal Court and international humanitarian law as a crime against humanity.”

The final war crime for which Hamas is responsible is the recruitment of children into armed conflict.

“Hamas is a case study of each of these six categories of war crime,” said Cotler. Unfortunately, the international community “has been minimizing the manner in which Hamas has engaged in consistent mass-violation of international humanitarian law.”

Cotler said specifically delineating Hamas’s violations was important in that it would place the onus of responsibility for the civilian tragedy in Gaza on the proper party.

“The consequences [of the fighting] are tragic in human terms,” he said. “Clearly what is happening in Gaza is a tragedy. But there has to be moral and legal clarity as to responsibility. When Israel responds and civilians are killed because Israel is targeting an area from which rockets were launched, then it is Hamas which bears responsibility for the deaths, and not Israel, according to international law.”

Six million other farmers across the Soviet Union were starved or shot during collectivization. Stalin told Winston Churchill he liquidated 10 million peasants during the 1930s. Add mass executions by the Cheka in Estonia, Lativia and Lithuania, the genocide of three million Muslims, massacres of Cossacks and Volga Germans, and Soviet industrial genocide accounted for at least 40 million victims, not including 20 million war dead.

Stalin’s murder of millions was simply denied or concealed by a left-wing conspiracy of silence that continues to this day. In the strange moral geometry of mass murder, only Nazis are guilty.

Socialist luminaries like Bernard Shaw, Beatrice and Sidney Webb and Premier Edouard Herriot of France, toured Ukraine during 1932-33 and proclaimed reports of famine were false. Shaw announced: “I did not see one under-nourished person in Russia.” New York Times correspondent Walter Duranty, who won a Pulitzer Prize for his Russian reporting, wrote claims of famine were “malignant propaganda.” Seven million people were dying around them, yet these fools saw nothing. The New York Times has never repudiated Duranty’s lies.
