Al Gore: It definitely is, and it’s a relatively new one. People think about geothermal energy — when they think about it at all — in terms of the hot water bubbling up in some places, but two kilometers or so down in most places there are these incredibly hot rocks, ’cause the interior of the earth is extremely hot, several million degrees, and the crust of the earth is hot …

Islamic extremists are spreading jihadist ideas across Britian’s prisons a new report has claimed today.

Counter-terrorism think tank, Quilliam Foundation’s report, Unlocking Al-Qaeda: Islamist extremism in British prisons

warns that failure to tackle prison radicalisation risks creating a fresh wave of hardened extremists, both inside and outside prisons, who are willing and capable of conducting terrorist violence.

It also revealed that most extremists initially radicalised in prison take an average of 5-7 years to become fully violent. This means that prisoners leaving prison today may ‘graduate’ into terrorism around 2015.

Christians would rather vote for the British National Party than Labour because they are so disillusioned with the Government’s discrimination against them, a pastor has claimed.

The Minority Report: Army Major Nadik Hasan, the alleged shooter in the deaths of thirteen people in Ft Hood, Texas, has hired Thomas Dewey of the prestigious Washington, DC law firm of Dewey, Cheatum and Howe to represent him in a lawsuit against policewoman Kimberly Munley for excessive use of force. Hasan, in stable condition in a Texas hospital has been paralyzed by the four bullets the policewoman pumped into his body. “Clearly this was a case of excessive use of force, and my client is paying a heavy price for it,” said Dewey. – “My client, Mr Hasan was at the wrong place and the wrong time, and now has become the victim himself,” Dewey added. “I mean, was it really necessary to pump four bullets into the man? Wouldn’t one have been sufficient? Two at the most?” – Dewey says that his law firm will also enlist the aid of the American Criminal Libelous Union [ACLU], an organization dedicated to decriminalizing criminal behavior, in accessing their national network of activists to create the appearance of a groundswell of public support for his client.

One of the Arab world’s biggest pop stars has provoked a torrent of outrage after releasing a song which refers to black Egyptians as monkeys.

Haifa Wehbe, an award-winning Lebanese diva who has been voted one of the world’s most beautiful people, is now facing a lawsuit from Egyptian Nubians claiming the song has fuelled discrimination against them and made some Nubian children too afraid to attend school.

Several students at Jordal school in Oslo who got swine flu were harassed for being bad Muslims.

“The students thought that maybe they had eaten pork and therefore became sick,” says the school prinicpal, Sissel Gråberg Vatn.

(more…)
