Danmark ville ikke

Men Australien ville godt

Men muslimerne vil ikke betale.

ONLY 43 families have repaid the cost of evacuating them from war-torn Lebanon last year.
Most have ignored written requests from the Federal Government to voluntarily repay the cost of their emergency flights home.

Just $51,105 of the $33 million spent by the Government rescuing those caught up in the Israeli-Lebanese war has been recovered.

This money includes a payment from the New Zealand Government to cover the cost of evacuating its citizens.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade wrote to 1400 evacuees asking for $820 for each adult, $640 for each child and $82 for each infant evacuated to cover the cost of flights.

The Government is not trying to recover the initial cost of evacuating the 5000 Australian Lebanese from Lebanon to Jordan, Cyprus and Turkey.

But the extra cost of flying them from these havens to Australia has been requested in a letter to the evacuees.

The letter asks the evacuees whether they had a ticket that was reimbursed or covered by insurance or whether they had lived out of Australia for more than three of the five years before the war.

They were also asked if they left Lebanon for reasons other than fearing for their lives.

Anyone who falls into these categories is asked to pay the cost of their flights to Australia.

“The Government does not intend to take any legal action to recover costs from you, but there is an expectation that if you fall into the relevant categories you should make the full contribution being requested,” the letter said.

A DFAT spokesman said the department had received 200 calls in response to the letter.

Most were concerned about their finances, but some complained about receiving the letter.

Lebanese community spokesman Monsignor Joseph Takchi said he was surprised by how few people had repaid the Government.

He said one explanation was that people were not told during the evacuation they would be asked to pay later.

He said many evacuees were prepared to pay on the spot but were told they did not have to.

Mr Takchi urged the evacuees who had not repaid the money to do so to show their appreciation for the Government’s efforts.

“Most people won’t pay a bill if they don’t have to, but I’d urge them to pay,” he said. “This is their responsibility to repay a wonderful gesture from the Australian Government.”

Asylgrund = ‘uvenner med familien’

Filed under: Demografi, Immigration, Muslim World, Norge, Palæstina - Libanon — Hodja @ 11:03

The myth of the Golden Age of Inter-Faith Utopia is just that–a myth.

“Islam, that is, the Koran, Muhammad and his deeds and words, Islamic law and its interpretation, has always been totally intolerant in theory and in practice of non-Muslims. Christians, Jews, heretics, apostates, unbelievers, and atheists–indeed, as Bernard Lewis has reminded us, tolerance would have been seen not as a merit but as a dereliction of duty.(2) How could it be otherwise, given that Islam is monotheistic? Monotheism is inherently intolerant, as Hume and Schopenhauer clearly saw, and this same thesis provides the philosophical framework for The Satanic Verses.”

The nature of the desert Arab

Arabs, generally speaking, identify strongly and proudly with the uncompromising “black and white” absolutist Bedouin outlook.

This hard-line attitude of the desert was spread with the expansion of Islam. An Arabocentric emphasis with its seventh century Arabian values eventually came to be superimposed on the more contemplative religious, and tolerant cultural traditions of Asia.

‘Moderate’ muslimer

Many non-Muslims are obviously very well-meaning with regard to Islam, but they are also extremely naïve and ignorant of the facts.

They seem to think that Islam is just another religion of love and peace and Muslims should be given full freedom to practice their religion. Do they also believe that thieves, misogynists, rapists, child-molesters and any and all manner of practicing evils should be given complete carte blanche to carry on with what they value and believe? These well-meaning poeple are just as deluded as the fanatic jihadists by refusing to acknowledge the fact that one cannot be a Muslim and not abide by the dictates of the Quran.

There is no such thing as moderate Islam. There is no such thing as secular Islam or a secular Muslim. It’s the nature of the faith to deny any separation of religion and the state or religion and society. There are numerous sects within Islam. One and all are extremes and not in the least amenable to change. Keep in mind that Islam claims that it is the perfect eternal faith for mankind. Splits have occurred and will continue to occur in Islam. Yet, reformation has not happened in nearly 1400 years and is not going to happen. Islam is carved in granite, just the way it is. No change. Allah’s book is sealed.
There are indeed some Muslims who are moderate in the way they practice their religion. These people, for the most part, are culturally Muslims. They don’t practice Islam the way it is mandated. They pick and choose. Therefore, “moderate Islam,” is no Islam at all. It is not possible.

Hvorfor hader venstrefløjen Israel?

I believe there are several reasons:

1. It is an easy way to express one’s hatred for America.

2. Israel is viewed as an outpost of colonialism , and an active practitioner of it.

3. Israel is a western nation, and hence can be judged by the left.  Israel is not protected by cultural relativism, as the Arabs are.

4. Leftist Christian churches can escape any lingering guilt about the Holocaust, by turning Israel into a villain.  Some leftist churches hate Israel because they think this will help protect their members in the holy land— in other words they feel threatened.

5. Ferocious Muslim hatred of Israel and the Jews reinforces the natural cowardice of many on the left who go along with the Muslims to stay out of their line of fire.

6. Jewish leftists are prominent in the anti-Israel movement. This opens the floodgates for everybody else.

7. Israel is attacked because the secular left is appalled by the influence of religious settlers and their biblical connections to the land of Israel, and by the support for Israel by evangelical Christians, and Christian Zionists.

The financial relationship between George Galloway and the regime of Saddam Hussein in Iraq

Investigations, that presented persuasive evidence showing that Galloway’s front organization, a “charity” known as the Mariam Appeal that campaigned against the sanctions on Iraq, had in fact received direct Iraqi subventions from the proceeds of the U.N.-sponsored “Oil for Food” program.

Bank records established that Galloway’s former wife had been paid at least $150,000 in this way. A completely separate U.N. inquiry chaired by former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker* identified another “Oil for Food” payment to the same lady, this time in the sum of $120,000.

An inquiry was set up, by the Committee on Standards and Privileges, to investigate. It has now produced its report, along with a recommendation that Mr. Galloway apologize to the House and be suspended from Parliament for 18 days. And the findings of the report are even more damning, if that is possible, than the conclusions reached by the Senate and Volcker investigations. In particular, they make reference to the transcript of a meeting between Galloway and Saddam Hussein on Aug. 8, 2002. On that date, Galloway complained to his political master—the man he had saluted in public for his “courage” and “indefatigability”—that certain problems with oil prices were affecting “our income” and “our dues.”

“Islamophobic” or Informed?

A new Newsweek Poll on American attitudes toward Muslims and Islam has found that 46 percent of Americans believe that the United States is taking in too many Muslim immigrants.

32 percent think that Muslims in America are less loyal to the United States than they are to Islam. 28 percent believe that the Qur’an condones violence, and 41 percent hold that Islamic culture “glorifies suicide.” 54 percent are either “somewhat worried” or “very worried” about Islamic jihadists in this country, and 52 percent support FBI surveillance of mosques, with the same percentage rejecting the claim of American Muslim advocacy groups that Muslims are being singled out by investigators and police.
