Gordon Brown has said military personnel should be encouraged to appear in public in uniform after it emerged that some RAF servicemen and women have been advised only to wear civilian clothing outside their base.

The order was given to personnel at an air base in Cambridgeshire on the advice of RAF police after reports of verbal abuse from members of the public.

    1. Emotionally as a Brit I find it disgusting that British Soldiers can’t walk through our towns in there uniforms and be proud. This though has been so for many years and for good reasons. The first is that for the last 40 years British Soldiers were targets for the I.R.A. And simple rules have been in place all that time. Where I live here in Holland there are large British Bases not more than a few Kilometers form where I live, for all most people know they hardly exist. The reason was that the British army does not use army vehicles to transport personal they have a fleet of cars in different colors and makes to transport the people around. They have German or British number plates. Officers when they leave the Base have to put the uniform in the back of the car and put on a jersey or a Jacket. It has been so effective that when the I.R.A. Attacked a group of people here in Limburg they got the wrong people and killed a group of Australian tourists. Camouflage works. We have just had a trial in England because some Islamic idiot wanted to cut the head off a British Muslim Soldier. It would be disastrous both politically and socially if several British Service men were kidnapped and executed by the sons of the Religion of peace. This though is not the whole story what would happen if several British Soldiers were beaten up and robbed, and there identity cards stolen. These could be used in a suicide attack on British bases in Afghanistan or Iraq. We are entering troubled times and it is better to be safe than sorry. For all the attempts to get ethnic minorities to enlist in the British army there are still only about 80 muslims in the British Army, most of the recruits come from the same part of the population they have always come from the British WORKING CLASS. I don’t know about the Danish Army but I suspect that the figures are about the same. Let that always be so because when the clash comes and it is coming, they will be loyal to there culture.
